Cucumber - Crystal Apple
I got these seeds in a trade. Crystal Apple is a creamy white oval cucumber, just 3-inches long. It was introduced to the US in 1934 by Arthur Yates and Co, but it is actually an heirloom from New Zealand. While seller descriptions label it as being mild and sweet with skin so tender you can eat it whole, the reviews I've found do seem to indicate a fair amount of issues with bitterness, and a couple mentioned thicker skin if left to grow over 3-inches. This one is best eaten fresh, though it can be pickled. This variety is susceptible to powdery mildew. It's not a heavy producer by most reviews, and it can be slow to start between germination and flower production, but it usually picks up well after the first flowers start to come in. It may do best either in a longer season area or started a bit earlier than other varieties indoors before being planted out.
