Pepper - Bolivian Rainbow
I got these seeds from an auction website. Bolivian Rainbow is a colorful ornamental pepper. As they mature, the peppers change from creamy white to purple to yellow to orange and then to red when fully ripe. One plant can have many peppers in various stages of maturity, so they end up looking like Christmas lights. These peppers vary from 10,000 to 30,000 Scoville units. The foliage tends to be dark, the flowers are purple, and because of the shape and colorful nature of the peppers, it can be grown as an ornamental, but the one-inch long peppers are completely edible. The plants are 2-3 feet tall and can be grown in a container. If grown indoors they will continue to produce peppers year round, but if grown outside they are considered an annual (unless you live somewhere that it never gets cold).
I grew this variety in 2015 out at my parents' house, but the deer ate all but one or two peppers (which happened to grow through a fence, which protected them).
