Pepper - Cowhorn
I got these seeds in a trade. The cowhorn (or cow horn) pepper is a member of the Capsicum annuum family. These peppers grow to 8-10 inches long and mature from green to red. They have a heat rating of 2,500-5,000 Scoville units, which puts them about on par with a Jalapeno. This variety is said to have good flavor and be a great choice for frying, pickling, or making into sauces. Despite having thick walls, this variety is not a good option for stuffing because the inside is narrow and the pepper tapers off quickly. These plants grow 2-3 feet tall and can be grown in containers.
