Pepper - Golden Marconi
I got these seeds from Baker Creek. Golden Marconi is an Italian heirloom sweet pepper. It's uses are as versatile as you can imagine. Typically used for frying or fresh eating, it can also be used for roasting, stuffing, canning, dehydrating, or grilling! Sturdy plants are 2-3 feet tall and can be slow to grow at first. Once it hits its stride though it becomes a good producer of 6-10 inch long, 3-inch wide peppers that start green and turn yellow, eventually maturing to a golden orange. Mostly picked in the yellow stage, it can be a little bitter when green, but as it turns to yellow it develops a sweet flavor and is often described with words such as juicy, crisp, sweet, and fruity. Golden Marconi is resistant to potato virus.
