Pepper - Greek Peperoncini
I got these seeds from San Diego Seed Company. This Capsicum annuum is an heirloom variety often seen in the pickle aisle at grocery stores. Plants grow to 30 inches tall and produce a high yield of 2-3 inch peppers. The peppers start out light greenish yellow and mature to red, but are almost exclusively used in the green/yellow stage. Greek Peperoncini is a good option for short season growers. Most often used for pickling and sliced as sandwich and pizza toppings, these peppers can also be used in salads and salsas or can be eaten fresh. With a Scoville range of 100-500, these are considered a mild pepper.
