Pepper - Mirasol
I got these seeds from Bunny Hop Seeds. Translated to "looking at the sun," this pepper was named after the way the peppers grow upward, reaching toward the sun. Mirasol peppers are 3-5 inches long and 3/4 - 2 inches wide. They ripen from green to dark red, but can have some variations (some sources claim they can actually be copper colored). Mirasol is a Mexican variety, most popular for being dried (then called Guajillo - see below). This Capsicum annuum is 2,500 - 5,000 Scoville units and has a fruity or berry-like flavor. The plants grow to 2-3 feet tall. Mirasol is also called Pueblo Chile. The USDA has this varity in their collection as PI188472

Pepper - Guajillo
I got these seeds from Bunny Hop Seeds and from a seed swap. It turns out that Guajillo is actually the term for dried Mirasol peppers. Guajillo is the second most popular dried pepper in Mexico and is essential for authentic Mexican mole sauces.
