Pepper - NuMex Joe E Parker
I got these seeds from White Harvest Seed Company. NuMex Joe E Parker is a 1990 release developed at the New Mexico State University (NMSU). It is an improved NuMex 6-4 variety, bred specifically to have thicker walls, higher yield, and to continue to produce after the initial harvest. You can grill, stuff, roast, or can these peppers. Considered an Anaheim type, Joe E Parker grows 6-8 inch peppers that ripen from green to red. I did find two different references to their heat level. One suggested 1,500-3,000 Scoville units, but my source labeled them as 4,500 Scoville units.
