Pepper - Peter Pecker
I bought these seeds. Also known as Peter Pecker, Penis Pepper, Pecker Pepper, and Peter Pepper, the name really is an indicator of the shape of this pepper. Yes, this phallic pepper is shaped like a penis. Ripening from green to red, they grow 3-5 inches long on 23-30 inch tall plants. These are hot peppers (10,000 - 50,000 Scoville units), and not a lot is mentioned in descriptions regarding flavor. Most people are just fascinated by the shape. They are a novelty pepper, but they are also good for drying and grinding into red hot pepper flakes. These peppers do now come in orange and yellow versions too. Not all of the peppers produced will have the perfect shape, but you'll get enough to show them off. These Capsicum annuum plants are prolific, producing up to 100 peppers per plant! I found varying reports on whether they have thick or thin flesh.
I was not able to find any reference to how long it takes for this variety to mature.
