Pepper - Bob's Pickling
I got these seeds from PepperLover.com. They do not appear to offer them anymore, but I did find one other commercial source for them online. Information on this variety is limited. Despite being a free bonus given away to many seed buyers in 2015, I've only found two references to anyone successfully growing them and/or following up with a description or review. It appears the original source seeds had very low germination, which may be why I've not had any luck the two years I have tried these seeds. Bob's Pickling is a Capsicum annuum, and it produces 2-inch long red peppers. They're a mild pepper that really becomes more of a sweet pepper if the seeds and placenta are removed. They're just the right size and heat for pickling. Bob's Pickling pepper is said to be prolific in its production.
Unknown time to maturity - the only reference I could find simply said it was a midseason variety.
