Pepper - Doe Hill
I got these seeds in a trade. Doe Hill peppers (Capsicum annuum) are a pre-1900's family heirloom from Virginia (USA). The plants stay 2-3 feet tall and produce a good yield of these golden colored flattened bell peppers (that truly almost look like tiny pumpkins). Each pepper measures 1-2.25 inches, ripens from green to golden, and has 4-6 lobes. It's said to be an early variety, considered a sweet bell-type pepper, it has thick walls and is great for stuffing as an appetizer.
