Pepper - NuMex 6-4
I got these seeds from Bunny Hop Seeds. The NuMex 6-4 is a bred down version of New Mexico #6. It was bred to have less heat and was released in 1957 or 1958. Offering 300-500 Scoville heat units (compared to the 700-900 New Mexico #6 had), this milder pepper became wildly popular. NuMex 6-4 has since been improved to a new variety (NuMex Heritage 6-4), but that is not what these seeds are. Good for frying or stuffing, or really anything that calls for green chiles. Use it fresh or wait until it turns red and dry it. These peppers grow 4-7 inches long by about 2-inches wide and mature green to red.
